What do you think about using sensor technology in the home?
Technical Concepts-Technical Concepts updates the bath with the launch of its Radius Proximity Technology. Bringing touchfree technology to the residential marketplace, Radius eliminates the need to manually operate the faucet, toilet flusher or soap dispenser. The Proximity Faucet, part of the company's suite of home products, includes surround sensor technology. The control box is mounted under the sink and automates virtually any brand of faucet. Radius also offers an automatic flushing system for tank toilets.
I wish I could see the image here. For some reason I can't. But still, I do think that technology like this will enter our homes, but only if it truly serves a purpose. People aren't going to spend money for it just because it's "cool." It has to make their lives easier. It has to work all the time, not like those faucets you see in airports. And there have to be a variety of styles available. People want an individual look to their bath. If they can't find style in a sensor faucet, they're not going to buy it. I wonder how advanced this technology is. Is it better that older generations and if so, why? Does anyone know where to find products like this? I haven't seen them widely available yet.
